Shame the frost from the spring And the sea for the thunder. All good things can never stay, oh let me stay in your arms. Heaven sent away the clouds I don’t know what to say about her In this place of flames around you Still you softly sway surrounded Keep the bends at bay without you and it’s not the same without you it’s not the same without you. Without you - Without you; anyone Without you; anyone. Shame the frost for the spring And the sea for the thunder. All good things can never stay, Oh let me stay in your arms.

I can’t weight it, so please do make me say it, I’ve been standing all of this down for you. It was oh so swell to listen to you It went oh so well, but what’s it to you? Oh, what’s it to you? Hey turn the lights off it’s too plain to see And with your eyes drawn it feels like falling asleep It’s a sane thing Oh you’re so saintly. Yeah don’t get side tracked, it’s what they came to see. You rolled your eyes back with your whole body, It’s a safe thing But it’s fading.

Set thee eyes on your designs, what I say to you I say to everyone at the time and if forces abide all will be revealed when the moment comes What golden glow replaced these clothes? Seeing you again and then nothing’s wrong. So it goes, and blessed are those things you left behind when you carried on. Easy nothing Please say something slow I just had a bad minute. I just went and ran with it. Wretched wind, where have you been? Don’t you think it’s time that we both went home? Press my skin when I let you And think about the time before the fall of Rome
I just had a bad minute. I just went and ran with it. Easy nothing. Please say something slow You’ve been feeling so unknown And if your feel it then just please say so This idea of me is overblown So it’s time for you to let it go You’ve been feeling - well god knows. And our idealism’s overgrown But you know I didn’t mean it so Will you come visit me when I grow old? You’ve been feeling so unknown. Oh baby you’ve been feeling so unknown.

Hey baby, please adjust your aim Overthinking. Oh no. Feel I’ve misbehaved Oh honey please can’t you look at it my way? It’s easy to get carried away. Home days standing in your way You’ve been thinking, I know. It’s a different weight.

Another evening gone ignoring chatter Intervening thoughts when you know that it’s bad for you I can’t feel your love and you know that I’d rather Tryna keep it up mind over matter yeah. What a healing thought: my kind of dreaming Have you even thought: who are you appealing to? Why even call? Belief in breathing? When we forgot that kind of feeling too? If these hands could talk oh what a story But they’re clamming up when you’re before me That’s a major flaw, another category. Gonna fade me out, but tell me one thing before you do Did you mean it all or were you climbing closer? Is the feeling gone when any time now is overdue? Did the ceiling fall with no one to toast to? It’s a speaking role, so tell me what I’m supposed to do.
7.
I can feel the moon, the way it shines so bright. My heart in the sky I feel your vibe. With the sun in between us coming out to breathe Just breathe in, breathe in. Take you to a frequency inside Free your mind and let your feeling ride Let the moment guide you to the shrine True vibration rooted in the night I wanna take you high Can I be your inner fire? Cause I’m feeling something inside you

Every man deserves a woman And every woman deserves a man So I’m about to ask I have felt the strange vibration And I had a lot of patience But where is my other half? Can’t somebody say? Can’t somebody tell I love her. Still I love her. Can’t you hear my pray? Many many ways I love her Still I wonder I wonder why she left me.
10.
This will all be over again In time, in time, in time. If you can’t feel it again I’ll take over. I’ll take over.

about

Dead Horse Beats is the stage name of Canadian musician, composer and singer Patrick Wade.

Described as “a groovy treasure packed with the excitement and emotion of a danceclub makeout session” by Noisey; Wade’s releases with labels in Montreal, New York and London span moods and styles from eccentric leftfield electronic to pensive R&B and rattling disco tinged dance numbers.

The Spanish word for England; ’Inglaterra’ explores the concept of a
rainy vacation through deep, spacey grooves complimenting typically
pessimistic but vulnerable lyrics. Guest appearances from LA singer
Low Leaf on vocals and harp, frequent collaborator Francis Arseneau on keyboards, and New York based saxophonist Jarryd Torff add soulful expression to DHB’s infectious, jazzy hooks.
